Gracie Manthey

Gracie is a warm and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist who loves working with children, young people and their families. She graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Queensland and has gained experience supporting children from infancy through to young adulthood across a broad range of communication and feeding needs.

Gracie works with children across all areas of speech pathology, including speech sounds, language development, early communication, literacy, fluency, social communication, AAC and feeding. She enjoys getting to know each child and family and tailoring support to their individual strengths, needs and goals.

Gracie values practical, evidence-based therapy that makes a difference beyond the clinic room. She enjoys working collaboratively with parents, educators and other health professionals to help children build skills and confidence in their everyday environments. She is also a Hanen-certified Speech-Language Pathologist trained in the More Than Words® program, with a strong interest in helping families feel confident supporting their child's communication at home.

Her favourite part of being a Speech-Language Pathologist is seeing children grow in confidence,  whether that's saying a tricky sound clearly, expressing an idea, developing their reading and writing skills, communicating in a new way, or feeling more comfortable around food.

Originally from Australia, Gracie moved to Canada with her partner in 2024, where she spent two years working with the Meridian Rehab team while exploring North America, learning to snowboard and enjoying the Okanagan's beautiful lakes. When it was time to return home to Queensland in 2026, Gracie loved Meridian's team and family-centred approach so much that she wanted to bring it with her. This sparked the beginning of Meridian Rehab Australia, now based on the Sunshine Coast and supporting local children and families.
